Leaving work?
If you leave your current employer Ballance, you may continue the insurance that you current hold through the Group Employee Scheme (including any voluntary top‑up benefits). Strict timeframes apply.
- You must apply within 60 days of your employment ending. Applications received after this deadline cannot be accepted by the insurer.
- Income Protection may have additional eligibility restrictions.
- Continuation is also subject to age and occupation criteria and is only available during the 60‑day continuation window. The insurer will not extend this period, so please let Mercer Marsh Benefits know as soon as possible if you’d like to keep your cover.
- The continuation benefits will be re-priced to retail rates; you will need to provide new bank details to ensure that the insurer can continue to collect the premiums due.
