The Policy

This policy provides an employee benefits insurance package for eligible employees; delivering life, critical illness and income protection cover.

What does this benefit cover?

It is a group insurance policy, which is owned by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

Eligible employees 

All permanent employees immediately upon commencement of employment and working 15 hours per week per week or more.

Cessation of cover

Your insurance cover under the policy will cease on the earliest of the following:

• On your 70th birthday for Life and Critical Illness;

• On your 65th birthday for Income Protection;

• For Life and Critical Illness cover, when a claim is accepted by the insurer;

• The date that you cease employment with Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency;

• Cancellation of this policy by the insurer or Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

Premium Costs

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Ltd currently meets all costs associated with the provision of the base insurance covers.
